Our history started in the early ’90s in the province of Quebec, Canada. BEST originally stood for Béliveau Enquêtes et Services Tactiques. The BEST Staffing
When providing the security at large-scale events, there is no “one-size-fits-all approach.” In order to create a safe, memorable experience for people, we tailor our service to each client and event.
For us, it starts with the people we hire and assign to each event. For example, we know that university sports, local artists’ concerts, and local professional sports teams generate a lot of pride for the event-goers, as well as for the security staff that work on site. The desire to make everything as smooth as possible and be part of a successful event is an additional incentive for our staff.
Furthermore, we focus on hiring people who live in or around the areas where the events take place. This means that there is a shared sense of community between our guards and the organizers. We’re also proud to support local economies in this way, bringing jobs to the community and serving as active ambassadors of the local culture.
Pandemic Learnings
Exiting a pandemic means people are finally starting to gather and interact again, after more than a year of isolation. BEST is proud to be at the center of the excitement, making it possible for people to meet, safely.
Despite the excitement and gradual “return to normal,” we also recognize that certain things are here to stay. For example, at BEST we are considering:
- People’s expectations for increased cleanliness
- People’s discomfort with being in close proximity to others, and the need to address this with care and respect
- Masks are most likely going to be here for a while, at various times throughout the year, depending on the states
